Connell is a contemporary figurative oil painter creating work built on a classical realist foundation. Grounded in observation, he seeks to explore the human experience through painting. He has a deep interest in portraiture and he is currently exploring how to embed this interest within paintings that are more poetic, ambiguous and whimsical.

Classically trained at the Barcelona Academy of Art, he also has a strong interest in still life and landscape painting and is available for commissions.
