Elizabeth Baldin
I studied at Bristol Art College, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, though my real passion had always been in fine art. After many years working as a book designer, I chose to follow that path fully in 2011 and have since exhibited widely in the Reading area.
My practice spans a variety of media, though I am currently focused on inks, watercolours, and acrylics to explore atmospheric landscapes and seascapes. I am particularly drawn to the shifting light and moods of nature, often working at dawn or dusk when the landscape reveals its most dramatic character. The rugged beauty of the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands and Islands provide constant inspiration, offering an endless source of contrast, luminosity, and atmosphere.
