Sarah Luton
My work is primarily realistic landscape but I also paint portraits and still-life. I use mainly oil, also watercolour and pastel and I love drawing in charcoal or water-soluble graphite. I work from life where possible, enjoying the challenges of changing light and weather conditions.
In 2025 I showed at the Green and Stone Summer Exhibition and Bath Society of Artists Open. In 2024 Will Gompertz selected my watercolour for The ING Discerning Eye. In 2024 I was one of six artists selected to demonstrate working en plein air at a private event in the Moat Garden at Windsor Castle. I won the drawing prize at Stroud Plein Air Competition 2024.
I have a BA in Graphic Design from Bath Academy of Art, and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for many years before becoming self employed as an artist and musician.
