Shelagh Casebourne
Shelagh Casebourne is an oil painter based in Berkshire, UK. Her work is concerned with capturing the effects of light in the landscape (often working plein air) and in her interiors. She says: I try to record an impression, a received sensation of a place or subject, rather than just recording ‘what’ I see.
After a career in publishing, Shelagh studied Fine Art at The University of Reading, gained a PGCE in art education and is now Secretary of the Reading Guild of Artists, regularly exhibiting with them and elsewhere. She also opens her studio for visitors. In 2021 she was a finalist in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year.
