I paint peaceful and atmospheric landscapes and seascapes in oils which are inspired by the strong connection I have to the countryside and coast having grown up in rural Dorset. Whilst my paintings incorporate detail, the scenes are often kept simple to evoke a feeling of calm which is a central theme that runs throughout my work. My aim is to create paintings that feel fresh and tranquil, capturing a fleeting moment of somewhere in which to lose yourself.
